The Blogger Recognition Award

blogger-recognition-award-three
Hey everyone, and I promise this is the last award.  I now realize why people usually forget doing tags. How does one keep track of them. Well, let’s keep that aside. So I was nominated again by the lovely Fizah @Books Tales By Me. So thank you to her. Go check out her blog. It’s as amazing as her.

  • Select 15 blogs to nominate.
  • Comment on each nominee’s blog and provide a link to the post that you created about the award.

HOW MY BLOG BEGAN

Aaah! I don’t remember actually. I think it was because of my sister. Yeah, I am pretty sure it was because of her. She started writing some blog posts and then I also wanted to do it. That is so like me. I always want to do what the other person is doing. So I started writing random reviews and posted them on some other blog I first had. But I guess I have improved over the days. And then one day I thought that Done I am making my own blog where I think and then post and now this is where I am. The way I am writing this, we could make a documentary on it.

BLOGGING ADVICE FROM ME!

I really shouldn’t do this because a) I am really bad at giving advice and b) I consider myself a new blogger. But I have an advice
INteraction I know, so original. But this is a very important part of Blogosphere. Interacting with bloggers is great for you and your blog. You might make some new friends and your blog might earn some views.
That’s all I can say, I don’t have anything else.

I NOMINATE-

Breathing Words
Laura @lfbooks
Sophie @Beware of The Reader
Rebecca @Bec’s Bookshelf

That is it for today’s post. Once again, thank you to Fizah for nominating me. Also I forgot to post on Wednesday. I knew what I wanted to talk about. I had the idea in my head but I couldn’t explain it in words. So this means….that I need to start scheduling my post before hand. Oh! We can add this to the tips for new bloggers list. I hope you liked today’s post. Comment down below….. anything, (I can’t think of anything) and I’ll see you next time.

Top 5 Tuesday – Top 5 Series I Want To Start This Year

Top 5 tuesday
Hey everyone,
it’s that time of the week again. It’s time for Top 5 Tuesday. This week’s topic is Top 5 Series I Want to Start This Year. So most of these books are being repeated because I included them in last week’s topic and some topics from December.
If you don’t know yet, Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Shanah @Bionic Book Worm Blog. She has posted the topics for January and we would love it if you would join us.
Now on to the list.

pink-watercolor-flowers-with-ethnic-arrow-creative-boho-style-illustration_1302-5396

1 – The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater

20171219_190708

I know you’re tired of me talking about how much I want to read this book, that is why I am going to leave this conversation here.

2 – Six of Crows Duology

20180106_215449

It’s a duology but still. I have heard so many things about this duology from so many bloggers that it’s time I read it this year.

3 – Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

20171219_190637

I don’t know if it’s a trilogy or a series since new books are being released which are a part of this series so…. I have heard mixed reviews about this book so I am not sure if I am going to like it or not.

4 – The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

20180115_173318

Fairy tale retelling? Yes, please. I want to see how some of my favourite Disney princesses have been portrayed in this book.

5 – Magnus Chase trilogy by Rick Riordan

20180115_173340

I want to return to Rick Riordan’s world. I haven’t read any of his book in so long which is why this trilogy is on top of my TBR.

pink-watercolor-flowers-with-ethnic-arrow-creative-boho-style-illustration_1302-5396

So that is it for today. I know that there are a lot of series that I want to read however these are the series which are on the top of my list. Although I am not going to read all of these books this year but I can hope. Tell me in the comments what all series you want to start this year and I’ll see you next time.

THE QUESTIONS!

1 – Briefly explain your blogging style (where your favorite blogging spot/tools – as in, on the couch using your smart phone or something).

I usually write using my PC and sit on my chair, obviously. But if I am feeling a bit lazy then I use my laptop. I usually listen to some kind of music while I/m writing. Actually I listen to music almost all the time or while writing a blog post I’ll just listen to some random video of a YouTuber.

2 – How do you manage your blogging time including blog reading time?

I usually get to writing a blog post as soon as I get back from school, but most the time I end up wasting my time by scrolling through twitter or watching YouTube. I read whenever I get time. I haven’t set any specific time for it. And I read other blogger’s posts whenever I get time while writing some blog post.

3 – Who is your most read author?

I think that it is Enid Blyton. I have read about 20 of her books.

4 – How did you come up with your blog name?

I think I’ve answered this question for the Mystery Blogger Award. So I am going to use the same answer. I had decided to make a blog in haste and hadn’t really figured things out. So one day, instead of studying (something I am doing right now as well), I sat down in front of my PC and my mom and I went through some of the most ridiculous names ever. I wanted the name to be something related to dreams(don’t ask why) but almost all the names I thought of had already been taken. In the end we came up with this name.

5 – What keeps you blogging?

My love for books! Also I love writing in general. And most importantly you all supportive people! Also the community. Also Food.

MY QUESTIONS.

I can’t think of any new questions so I am gong to use these same questions. Also why do I feel that everybody keeps answering these same questions? Here are my questions –
  1. Briefly explain your blogging style (where your favorite blogging spot/tools – as in, on the couch using your smart phone or something).
  2. How do you manage your blogging time including blog reading time?
  3. How did you come up with your blog name?
  4. What keeps you blogging
  5. What would you do if I grant you a wish?

I NOMINATE –

Joe @Storeys of Stories Blog
Mini @Books And Corner
Emmy @Emmy B. Reading
Emily @Emilyburnsmua Blog

So those are all the nominees. Thanks again to Laura for nominating me. I hope you enjoyed today’s post. Tell me in the comments something about your blogging style and I’ll see you next time.

Top 5 Tuesday – Top 5 Books on My 2018 Bucket List.

Top 5 Tuesday Blog header
Hey everyone,
and welcome to the first Top 5 Tuesday of 2018. *cue confetti*.  I am so excited for this year’s topics. Hopefully I am able to participate every month. Today’s topic is Top 5 Books on My Bucket List. I have so many books on my bucket list, just like everyone else. But for today I am going to choose the books I absolutely absolutely want to read in 2018.
Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Shanah @Bionic Book Worm. It would be lovely if you would join us as well. Go check out her blog, she’s amazing.
Now lets get on with the list.

Top 5 Tuesday embell

1 – Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli

 20180106_213945

With the movie coming out and people saying such good things about it, this book is on top of my bucket list. Well not really. This list is not in any particular order but if I ever buy any book, like right now, this would be the first book I’d add to my cart.

2 – Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon

20180106_214420

I seriously have no idea why this book is on this list. But I really want to read it. But then I don’t actually know much about this book, which I guess is a good thing. But I saw the trailer of the movie and I then and then decided to read this book in 2018.

3 – The Sun Is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon

20180106_215035

Again I am surprised that I don’t know anything about this book since everyone keeps talking about this book. And I obviously don’t know a single thing about this book but I want to read it because of Everything, Everything.

4 – The Raven Cycle by Maggie  Stiefvater

20171219_190708

Literally every person who has read this book only says good things about this book and I don’t want to stay alone for too long. Although I feel that I am not going to like it as much as other people and I don’t know why I feel like that. I don’t know but I still want to read this book in 2018.

5 – Six of Crows Duology by Leigh Bardugo

20180106_215449

Another book everyone loves and I feel I am not going to like it but I still want to read it. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I feel it’s the pressure even though there’s no pressure, I am just creating my own pressure. But you know, I’ll still buy it and read it. And then we’ll see what happens.

Top 5 Tuesday embell

So that is it for today’s Top 5 Tuesday. I feel like I didn’t talk about the books much but I just talked about my weird feeling regarding these books. And I am sorry for that. But these are the books that I feel I really want to read this year. Let’s see hoe many of these books I’ll be able to read in 2018. Tell me in the comments what all books are on your bucket list and I’ll see you next time.

3 Things About MEEE!!

≈ I can’t play any music instrument.
≈ I never cry while reading books but I almost always cry while watching movies.
≈ I used to learn Classical Dance for 3 years.

FIZAH’S QUESTIONS

1 – Harry Potter or Twilight?

I would have to go with Harry Potter because even though I did like Twilight (Don’t hate me!), The Breaking Dawn left me disgusted. I enjoyed the first three books but I had to DNF the fourth one. So it’s Harry Potter for me.

2 – Who is your most favourite villain?

Luke Castellan from the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. He will forever be my love no matter what others say, although almost everyone I know loves him.

3 – What is your most anticipated read of 2018?(only one)

So I don’t know if I have to name a book which is going to release this year or just any book. I’m going to go with the latter. So my most anticipated read of 2018 is Simon vs The Homo sapiens Agenda. I have heard so much about this book that I had to add it to my TBR. Also the movie is releasing this year so……

4 – What is the story behind your blog name?

Apparently there is no story behind my blog name. Fun fact – The name of my blog was supposed to be Dreamy Words like my email but while registering the name on WordPress I forgot and wrote Dreamy Reads instead.

5 – Which one you prefer Reading in winter or summer?

I don’t have any preference but I would say winter because there is nothing better than cozying up in a blanket with a good book while it’s cold outside.

Best Post

I don’t usually like whatever I write but one of the post I actually kind of like (a little bit) is probably  Time Out – ‘I’m sorry, how do you pronounce your name?’

MY QUESTIONS!

1 – Which one do you prefer more – Pens or Pencils?
2 – What’s your favourite book cover? (only one. I know I am evil muhaha)
3 – If you could swap your blog with any one blogger who would you choose? And why?
4 – Would you rather drown and die or burn and die?
5 – One book you can’t stop praising enough.

I NOMINATE

Bernadette @Spine Cracker
Nia @Shades Of Paper
Shruti @This Is Lit Book Blog
Jess @Reads And Dreams
Priyasha @Books And Co.

This is all for today’s post. Thanks again to Fizah for nominating me. This is my first post for 2018 and I’m finally back from my hiatus. Also I want to apologize for taking a long time to reply to your comments and for not reading your posts or commenting on them as I am currently having my exams and I seriously can’t find time to do anything except for studying.  Tell me in the comments your favourite book cover and I’ll see you next time.

Blogmas Day 22 – 12 Days of Christmas Book Tag

Twelve Ideasfor Celebrating the Twelve Days of Christmas (19).png
Hey everyone,
and welcome to Blogmas Day 22. I am currently suffering from Blogger’s Block and was absolutely out of ideas so I decided to do the 12 Days of Christmas Book Tag. This tag was created by LizzieLovesBooks . Go check out her channel and let’s get on with the tag.

20171127_204048

ON THE FIRST DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: A PARTRIDGE IN A PEAR TREE.

The partridge stood alone in the pear tree. What is your favorite stand alone?

This is difficult to answer but I think my favourite stand alone might probably be Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I guess this one because I could really connect to the characters.

ON THE SECOND DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: TWO TURTLE DOVES.

Love is in the air! Who is your one true pairing?

I have so so many but I’ll go with Solangelo or Romione. I don’t love Romione that much but I think they’re perfect for each other and love and care for each other a lot.

ON THE THIRD DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: THREE FRENCH HENS.

In the spirit of threes, what is the best trilogy you have read?

I haven’t read a lot of trilogies but I’ll go with The Maze Runner trilogy. I know a lot of people don’t like it that much but I couldn’t stop myself from falling in love with the books (or characters to be exact).

ON THE FOURTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: FOUR CALLING BIRDS.

Since series usually consist of four or more books, what is your favorite series?

I feel that I should choose something besides Harry Potter since I usually choose this series. So I’ll without a doubt go with Percy Jackson and The Olympians series. There is just something about this series which makes it so wonderful that I can’t stop loving it.

ON THE FIFTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: FIVE GOLDEN RINGS.

One ring to rule them all! Who is your Favorite Villain/Antagonist?

Bellatrix counts right? Even if she doesn’t, I am going to choose her. Definitely the best villain out there.

ON THE SIXTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: SIX GEESE A LAYING.

Creation is a beautiful thing. What is your favorite world/world-building?

I can’t think of any at the moment because there are so many out there. So skip.

ON THE SEVENTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: SEVEN SWANS A SWIMMING.

Who needs seven swans when all it takes is one good animal sidekick? Who’s your favorite animal sidekick?

Blackjack from Percy Jackson and The Olympians series. I didn’t know that even Pegasus can be funny.

ON THE EIGHTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: EIGHT MAIDS A MILKING.

Milk is so 18th century. Which book or series takes beverages/food to a whole new level?

I can’t think of any except for Harry Potter. The food is as wonderful as the characters and the world.

ON THE NINTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: NINE LADIES DANCING.

Dancing is just one skill of a Lady! Who is your favorite kickass female lead?

Annabeth, definitely. That girl can judo-flip and she’s the wisest girl. Do I need to say anything more?

ON THE TENTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: TEN LORDS A LEAPING.

How about your favorite leading lad?

Percy Jackson was the only protagonist I ever liked along with Leo Valdez. I love these two boys.

ON THE ELEVENTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: ELEVEN PIPES PIPING.

What is your favorite book or bookish thing with musical influence? (It can be about music, reference music a lot etc.)

I can’t think of any book right now. Can you? Tell me in the comments.

ON THE TWELFTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: 12 DRUMMERS DRUMMING.

Drum roll please…what is your favorite read of this year?

Best read would go to Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and The Sin Eater’s Daughter by Melinda Salisbury. These two books were absolutely amazing.

20171127_204048

So that is it for this tag. Some of these questions were really hard to answer. Also good news, Holidays have started however I have two important conferences this Saturday and Sunday and I am not ready. Wish me luck. Tell me in the comments your favourite read of this month and I’ll see you next time.

Blogmas Day 19 – Top 5 Tuesday – Top 5 Books I Want for Christmas

Twelve Ideasfor Celebrating the Twelve Days of Christmas (16).png
Hey everyone,
and guess WHAT?! This is the last freaking Top 5 Tuesday post for this year. OMG! Like where did the time go? But this week’s topic is my personal favourite  because I came up with my list in no time. It’s Top 5 Books I Want for Christmas. If you don’t know already, Top 5 Tuesday is a Weekly Meme created by Shanah BionicBookWormBlog, so go check out her blog. She’s amazing.
And if anyone is planning to give me some kind of gift for Christmas, this post is a hint for you *winks*.
Now with that all being clear, let’s get on with the list.

20171127_204048

1 – The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton

20171216_200431

I have been talking about this book a lot in my past blog posts but I can’t help it. The synopsis sounds amazing and wonderful and amazing again. And lets not talk about the cover, because I am in love with this cover. So I do hope Mom or anyone gets this for me because I have been waiting to read this for so so long and I have heard so much about this book from other people that it has become difficult to control my excitement.

2 – The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

20171219_190557

This book is on the top of my TBR list and I can’t wait to read it. I have heard so much about this book from BookTubers and Book Bloggers that I decided to add it to my Amazon Cart and I plan on buying it today but we’ll have to see. The synopsis was so good that I feel like giving it five stars without even reading it.

3 – Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz.

20171216_195429

Another book on my TBR list which I want to read as quickly as possible. I don’t know what to say except that ‘Can I get this book for Christmas or even better, Before Christmas?’

4 – Shatter Me Trilogy by Tahereh Mafi

20171219_190637

So I have heard a lot of reviews about this book. But what actually made me want to buy this book was when I heard a quote from this book and it completely stole my heart. Also the covers!! They’re so so beautiful. Although I am pretty sure I am not getting this trilogy for Christmas.

5 – The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater

20171219_190708

Everyone is talking about this series so I thought might as well give it a try also this has been on my TBR and my Amazon Cart for a long time but I never got around to buying it. So hopefully I get it for Christmas.

20171127_204048

So that is it for this week’s Top 5 Tuesday. I can’t believe that this was the last topic for 2017. I hope I get these books for Christmas. Tell me in the comments what all books you want for Christmas and I’ll see you next time.
